England August 4th
Mom Dearest,
I wouldn't trade your last letter for all the gold in England! That letter mom is going to be with me always and when I'm blue I'll just take it out and read it. You know just how to put me at rest and make me feel that all's right with the world mom.
The cable was swell but knowing a few of the details erased all my fears. Now it's just going to be a matter of time till we can all be together again and a happier more contented family will never be found anyplace.
I'm glad you were pulling for a baby girl too. Leona may have thought I was kidding but every time she'd talk about a son I'd tell her I wanted me a little girl so that we could raise her to be as sweet as her mother.
Mom you've got to find some film soon so that I can get some idea of what my daughter looks like (You & Leona better be in the pictures too because I'm hungry to see you too and that goes for all at home).
There's very little to talk about on this end (that we're allowed to anyhow) cause all the interesting things are going on over there. Besides that I'm in too much of a day dreaming mood to do much coherent writing so I think I'll just close. You know how happy I am anyway without my telling you. Watch out for my little family won't you-and take good care of yourself.
Loads & loads of love to all of you
Lu
